Consult a doctor if you get a negative result or if have any concerns about low ferritin or iron deficiency.

This ferritin home blood test is manufactured under internationally recognised quality management systems, ISO 13485.

The test detects ferritin, a blood protein that stores iron.

Results interpretation is slightly different for this test. If you get a test (T) and control (C) line this means the ferritin concentration in the blood is normal. If you only get a (C) line it may suggest ferritin levels are abnormal. The test will not detect high ferritin levels.

Always consult a doctor if your result suggests abnormal ferritin levels or if you have concerns about your ferritin or iron levels.

Ferritin is a blood protein that stores and releases iron within the body. It therefore indirectly provides an indication of iron levels. Iron deficiency can cause several health issues. Low ferritin may also indicate hypothyroidism, vitamin C deficiency or coeliac disease.

The test can be used at anytime of the day. It’s advisable to test following the onset of symptoms such as paleness, headaches, faster heartbeat or shortness of breath. Do not use if you following the diagnosis of diseases, acute inflammations, or spleen or liver injury.
