Thyroid is a self-test for detecting Thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) which, in high levels, signals an underactive thyroid (hypothyroidism). Taking only minutes to produce results, the test can be performed at home in a few simple steps.

 

The test is designed for the screening for TSH. Symptoms of an underactive thyroid are like other conditions such as low iron. Therefore, it is important to rule in or rule out symptoms. Consult a doctor if you obtain a positive result or if after receiving a negative result symptoms continue or you have any concerns about your health.

 

All components are provided to use the test. Clear instructions guide you through the testing process.

 

If you get a test (T) and control (C) line this means TSH is higher than normal. A test (T) line of any  colour and intensity is considered a positive. A (C) line on its own is negative. If the result is negative, it means that the TSH level is within the normal range. A case of Hyperthyroidism (overactive thyroid), though rare, cannot be excluded based on such test results.

The test is CE marked, registered with the UK’s MHRA and has passed our 10-point check.

Testing for higher-than-normal levels of thyroid stimulating hormone or TSH is considered to be a good way of initially testing for hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid gland). An untreated underactive thyroid can lead to heart problems, abnormal swelling of the thyroid gland, or pregnancy complications, plus other complications.

If you are experiencing any other common symptoms for an underactive thyroid, use this TSH test. See symptoms and those at risk section below. The TSH test can be used at any time of the day. It is recommended you use the test as a screening tool.
